Lists and To-Do's

Greetings!

Just making some more adjustments to the magazine before the final editing, and here I am, sitting at my desk with 'paper and parchment' scattered all about. I began to laugh at myself, because of my unusual preferences. :)

I am a loyal list-maker; and I just love to make long lists with perfect little boxes for checking off on the side, and neat lines of chores and to-do's reminding me of all of the things I will probably never get done! :) I don't know about all of you- but I will absolutely forget everything unless it is written down and in plain sight! :) And lately I have been running behind all of my paper-written goals! I absolutely LOVE writing and editing, but often times an editor can feel like this:

Although I am not a coffee drinker- I like lemonade and ice tea. But still, time flies by too soon! :)

But I am still lacking articles for the magazine- so if any of you Young Ladies out there would like to submit anything you have written- I would be very pleased to feature it! And I don't think I mentioned this, but if you feel nervous about having your name printed beside your work, I allow alias'. :)

Anyhow- the magazine is coming along well- and hopefully it will be finished soon!

Have a great day young writers!

Yours Truly,

Ms. Lindsay D. Miles

Welcome to The Young Ladies Magazine!

Greetings Dear Readers,

As the editor of this magazine, I would like to welcome you!

This simple magazine was first started about six years ago by me, and although I have not been the most faithful at continually and punctually printing out this magazine, I will as yet endeavor to keep it going. :-)

About six years ago, as I before mentioned, I dreamed of starting a magazine for young girls like myself. I dreamed of making it a periodical in which young women of all ages could present their works in writing to the world, and use it as a doorway to the betterment of their pen wielding skills. I thought that if I could create such a thing as this magazine, then girls could find a way to read articles, poetry, and stories written by other young authors and poets their age, and find inspiration and encouragement to continue. So, I began this little magazine, and it has been my honor to present the works of many young women's nimble fingers and creative minds to as many readers as I could gather. Yet, sadly, neglect and a lack of material have left this little periodical in the lurch for two years now. But I have decided to not let it be beat out after all! This magazine, it is my belief, is my way of encouraging this generation to rise up and accept, enjoy, cultivate, and encourage their talents for God, their families, and the joy of others.

Therefore, as you read this simple message, please feel free to send us any article you may have wriiten, so that we can cheer on the writers of today, and not let the inspiration for the writers of tomorrow perish.

Au Reviour,

Ms. Lindsay D. Miles
